As you may have read in the previous posts, Tough Mudder is coming to Australia. I’ve signed up with a few others and now it’s time to train.. hard.. I’ve you have seen the course you know that there is a lot you need to do… if you haven’t seen it here’s a preview
As you see some sort of physical strenght is certainly needed and hence I’m currently going through a workout routine which was recommended by Tough Mudder.
If you want a copy of this schedule, you can get it here below (I won’t access and keep any FB info, it’s just a sharing thing)
I’ve been trying to get my ass to the gym about 3 times a week where I try to do the exercises they best way I can. To make sure you keep growing I use the schedule from top to bottom and the next time I work from the bottom to the top. This is to ensure I can do the exercises properly when hitting the end of my tough mudder workout routine.
I actually don’t do the cardo side of things as I usually go the gym during my lunch or at the end of my day. This would add another hour to my workout which doesn’t really fit in my schedule. I try to run anyway during the week but I know that I need to incorporate some interval training later on.
I can honestly say that I feel a lot better and getting a lot stronger by doing this workout, it is seriously a great full body workout which you can do under an hour and gives great results.

The race is NOT a time race but it all revolves around teamwork and getting over the finish line together. A great example of teamwork was just posted on the Tough Mudder Facebook page but i’ll share it here too.
The guy who is being pulled up is doing the course with one leg.. what is your excuse not to participate and just get down and dirty.. and have an awesome day.
