It is hard to imagine that one of the crucial tools of a runner are his socks! Unfortunately there are many, many socks on the market. I’ve used various brands and I have one clear favorite. Before I reveal which one that is I will say what I have not tried ALL of them myself. So If you have a clear favorite please let me know or share this in the comments section.
From when I was young I always had trouble with my feet and my back. Some of this is caused by field hockey, but I also roll my feet towards the inside. Therefore needing support on the inside to correct my feet movement and rolling.
Running socks for me are quite important. I don’t run nearly enough to be soley depended on one favorite pair but I do have my preference. The cheaper ones are getting me places, if I may call it like that, but one of my favorites just feel better and give more support and cushening. My favorite type of socks are Thorlos. (no affiliate link) These are not very cheap as they go for about 40 dollars a pair but it is more an investment, or a nice christmas present.
Other high end brands are Asics Kayano and Nike Elite and these are all up aroud the 40 dollars. Other socks that I have tried, which are a bit less expensive, and will do just the trick you go for an occasional run.
Via the MyRun Australia twittersphere I came into contact with @longrunyoga and she told me about another pair of running socks, Balega Socks (no affiliate link), that I never heard off. So I thought I would include this in this post as, according to her, the best socks ever.. So here they are:

What Socks are good for PREVENTING are blisters. Now not everybody gets blisters while running but a I can pretty much guarantee (sorry) that every runner will get a blister or two one in their running career. Running with blisters is not the most enjoyable feeling in the world, and then you have to walk on it during the normal hours of the day. So a good pair of running socks and some small distances before you do a long run would help you ease down on the blister department.
If you want to buy these socks, or others then Rebelsport has a wide range of products which you can also order online via rebelsport.com.au. If you have any other websites then please share these in the comments.
Keep on running!
